Chesapeake, VA (June 25, 2021) – One person was killed in an accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon, June 23, and reportedly involved an overturned SUV and another vehicle on Interstate 64 in Chesapeake.
Troopers with the Virginia State Police responded to the crash, which occurred in the southbound lanes of I-664 at mile marker 18, around 4:00 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that two vehicles collided on the left side of the highway, causing an SUV to roll over. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and pronounced one victim deceased. It appears that at least one other victim was treated at the scene or transported to an area medical center.
The crash is still under investigation, and further details about those involved have not been provided.
