Chesapeake, VA – One Killed, One Injured in Two-Car Crash at Campostella Rd & S Military Hwy

Chesapeake, VA (June 23, 2021) – A fatal accident shut down the intersection at Campostella Road and South Military Highway in Chesapeake on Wednesday afternoon, June 23, and left at least one person dead and another victim with serious injuries.

Per reports from officers with the Chesapeake Police Department, authorities and EMTs were dispatched to the area of the crash around 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the wreck involved a Chesapeake Public Schools vehicle and a passenger car.

The circumstances causing the crash are still unknown, though police say that one person in the passenger vehicle was killed. Another person sustaining serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital via ambulance for further treatment. Their current condition has not been released.

The road was shut down for several hours as police conducted the on-scene portion of their investigation. Police have not identified the victims but say the investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
