Chesapeake, VA (October 9, 2021) – Police closed all southbound lanes on Battlefield Boulevard between Knell’s Ridge and Medical Parkway after a car hit a pedestrian on Friday evening, October 8.
The incident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. in the 700 block of Battlefield. Officers said a woman was hit by a car in the area and was killed on impact. Her age and identity have not been provided.
All those involved remained on the scene following the accident, and officials said there are no charges pending at this time.
Law enforcement said this case remains under active investigation. It’s unclear if any other victims suffered injuries.
