Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in Virginia
Every year, more than 2,100 motorcyclists are injured in auto accidents throughout the state of Virginia. Although we have seen a reduction in total collisions at nearly 10% between 2016 and 2017, they continue to take place at an alarming rate. These accidents are often preventable, yet so many innocent victims suffer as a result of the negligence of other drivers. Many accidents are caused by negligent drivers, those who speed, drivers who are intoxicated, and those who are engaging in reckless driving behaviors.
People who are injured in accidents often require extensive medical treatment and have to spend several months or even years recovering and going to therapy. Although many treatment options exist to help victims in the aftermath of their accidents, they come at a high price and with no guarantee of a full recovery. In fact, thousands of people are left permanently disabled as a result of injuries they sustain in crashes. If you were injured in an accident, as a result of another driver’s actions, it is crucial that you reach out to a motorcycle accident attorney in Virginia as soon as possible to discuss legal options available to you. You may be entitled to recover compensation from those at fault to help alleviate the financial burdens you face from medical treatment and other expenses.
