Norfolk, VA – Car Crash on I-264 at Newtown Rd Causes Injuries

Written by: Virginia Beach Injury Law

Norfolk, VA (June 4, 2022) – At least two drivers were engaged in a collision that took place early late on Saturday evening, June 4, and which apparently resulted in a number of injuries.

According to police dispatch and officers with the Norfolk Police Department, they got the report for the first time at around 10:30 p.m. and responded to the area of westbound Interstate 264 at Newtown Road and mile marker 13.4. The actual number of patients who were transported by ambulance to a local medical facility was not made public; nevertheless, news video recorded in the vicinity showed a number of emergency medical service vehicles on the site.

While Norfolk PD detectives attempted to complete the on-scene portion of their investigation, they directed cars to take other routes and closed multiple lanes of the roadway. However, the reason for the collision is still unknown, and the NPD did not release any other information on the drivers that were involved in the accident.

Our thoughts and best wishes are with the individuals who were harmed in this collision. We hope that they will make a full recovery.
