Norfolk, VA (February 4, 2022) – Officers with the Norfolk Police Department responded to a crash that occurred on Friday evening, February 4.
Rescuers were dispatched to the scene around 11:15 p.m. and said that the multi-vehicle wreck happened on Interstate 64 at Exit 273 to 4th View. The events leading up to the accident remain unclear, but initial information indicated that multiple eastbound lanes were blocked.
Medics treated at least one victim at the scene and may have transported others to an area medical center, though the severity of the injuries sustained is unknown. The number of drivers involved in the wreck is also unclear.
Officers say the investigation into the circumstances causing the collision is ongoing. Police asked any witnesses or anyone else with information to contact them directly.
