Norfolk, VA (June 18, 2021) – Authorities with Norfolk Fire & Rescue and officers from the Norfolk Police Department responded to a crash that occurred on Friday evening, June 18, and left one man seriously injured.
Officers say that the car crash on Chesapeake Boulevard in Norfolk sent the man to an area medical center with life-threatening injuries. A tweet released by the Norfolk Police Department said the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. at the 8500 block of Chesapeake Boulevard. Upon arrival to the scene, EMS discovered that the victim suffered critical injuries and rushed the man to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital via ambulance.
Officers say the investigation into the circumstances causing the wreck is ongoing, and the man’s identity is not currently known. Police did not say how many other victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident.
