Norfolk, VA (July 17, 2021) – An auto accident reported in the Norfolk area sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries on Saturday evening July 17, according to officers with the Norfolk Police Department.
Just before 11:00 p.m., emergency crews were called to the site of a crash on Interstate 64 at mile marker 282.6. Reports from local news sources, as well as initial information released by police at the scene, stated that a crash occurred between a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Northampton Boulevard. The incident caused significant delays in the area as crews worked to remove the vehicles from the interstate.
At least one person involved in this accident was transported to a nearby hospital for the treatment of injuries. However, their current condition is unknown, and the total number of victims involved in the collision is unclear. Troopers with the Virginia State Police and NPD officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the wreck and have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
Our thoughts are with the victims who were injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
Motor Vehicle Accidents in Virginia

When people are injured in auto accidents, they often face drastic limitations on their ability to perform various tasks. As a result, tens of thousands of people are left with debilitating injuries that cause overwhelming pain and suffer. To add to the struggles and frustration, many victims require medical treatment, hospitalization, and therapy for their injuries that costs tens of thousands of dollars. If you were injured in an accident, due to another motorist’s actions, you should reach out to a car accident attorney in Virginia as soon as possible.
