Norfolk, VA (December 23, 2021) – Norfolk fire officials said that one person was taken to the hospital after a residential fire occurred on Tuesday, December 21.
Dispatchers said the blaze was reported around 5:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Ramsey Road. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered smoke coming from a one-story, single-family home.
Two residents were able to get out on their own and were both treated by medics at the scene. One other person was transported to a hospital via ambulance with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The blaze was extinguished by 8:00 p.m., though authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
