Suffolk, VA (October 02, 2021) – Officers from the Suffolk Police Department were called to investigate a fatal hit-and-run accident on Friday, October 1st.
According to reports, at about 10:55 p.m., police responded to the 3000 block of Manning Road for a report of a pedestrian involved in a hit-and-run crash. Upon their arrival, officers found the pedestrian lying in the roadway. They were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved was reported to have fled the scene after the collision. At this time, authorities have not provided any further details.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification. The events that led to the accident are actively under investigation.
