Suffolk, VA (July 3, 2021) – Officers with the Suffolk Police Department and Suffolk Fire & Rescue units responded to a rollover car crash that occurred on Route 460 and left a person critically injured early Saturday morning, July 3.
According to police, dispatchers reported the incident around 6:30 a.m. At that time, a vehicle overturned at the 5400 block of Pruden Boulevard and Route 460. The circumstances causing the crash are unknown, but police said the wreck left the driver of the vehicle critically injured. They were taken to the hospital via Nightingale after receiving treatment at the scene from Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel and Suffolk EMS. It’s unclear if any other victims sustained injuries in the collision.
The roadway was closed for approximately three hours while officers conducted the on-scene portion of their investigation. The crash is still under investigation, however, and further details about those involved have not been provided.
