Virginia Beach, VA (July 14, 2021) – At least one person was injured in a car accident that occurred on Wednesday evening, July 14, police and Hampton Roads officials said in a news release.
Officers with the Virginia Beach Police Department said that the accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on Interstate 264 near mile marker 13.6, close to the exit 14 ramp to Interstate 64. Paramedics were at the scene to transport injured victims, though the total number of individuals involved is unknown. Initial reports indicate that two vehicles were involved and collided in the left westbound lanes of the highway.
Further details have not been released, but police say that their investigation is ongoing. VBPD officers have asked that witnesses or any other person with information about the wreck contact them.
