Virginia Beach, VA (April 2, 2022) – A family was displaced and at least one person was hospitalized after a fire broke out in the 2200 block of San Marino Court on Friday evening, April 1.
Virginia Beach Fire Department units responded to the townhome fire at 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered smoke and flames coming from the front of the house, which then began to spread to neighboring townhomes.
They proceeded to knock down the fire but say that several residents were displaced. At least one person was transported to an area medical center for smoke inhalation, though they’re expected to recover.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, and further information has not been provided at this time. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
