Virginia Beach, VA (June 3, 2021) – A man who was killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash in Virginia Beach on Friday, May 29, has now been identified.
Phil Pereira died at the scene of the crash after his motorcycle was hit by a dark blue pickup truck around 10:30 p.m., according to Virginia Beach officers. Police said that Pereira was traveling eastbound on the Ferrell Parkway in Virginia Beach when a Toyota Tundra pulled out in front of him. Pereira was then thrown onto the road and succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are still looking for the suspect, who fled the scene and drove away on the interstate. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
